Do I need to complete a SAPS form or do anything else above what I would normally do for bringing a compound bow into South Africa to hunt in the Eastern Cape?

You said "crossbow" in the title of your thread, but compound bow in your message. You shouldn't need anything for a bow. I'm not sure about a crossbow, but I would think it would be the same.

Thanks - I am asking if the same rules for bringing a compound bow to hunt in South Africa equally apply to a crossbow? Does anyone know “ground-truth”

Have traveled to SA a few times with a crossbow for my son. We never had any issues or questions about it, always tell them archery equipment....never say bow hunting.
