Picked up my mounts from 2016 a few weeks ago. I wanted to try and combine them to save space, since I don't have a lot of that left. I like how it turned out. All are archery kills except for the whitetail euro hanging on the bottom left, that is a muzzleloader kill which took 8 years to get a tag in my home state of ND.
Great hunting, and a great mount.
Very nice! One I will remember for sure! You had an awesome 2016!
Awesome mount! I like them all together like that, very nice touch. Congrats on a heckuva year!
Congrats to a fellow North Dakotan. I think Im on my 9th or 10th year for muzzleloader as well. Thats very nice and an idea I may steal in the future....
Looks great. Congratulations on a year to remember.
Awesome awesome mount!!! Congrats. Not sure if I am more impressed by the mule deer or the whitetail!! Incredible animals!! Where did you shoot them?
2016 was a great year! Looks great!
Nice collection...long wait.
Love the partial velvet buck. Looks great!
Good year! And I really like your idea to put them together, looks good.
Thanks guys. Wannaelk - The antelope and bottom muley was in SD, the top mule deer was in CO, the two whitetails were in ND. The antelope and bottom two euro's look a lot smaller in the picture. Here they are in "real" life. lol
Congratulations, great animals and even greater presentation!
Looks great, John! You had quite the year!
What’s the story on drawing a ML tag in N. Dakota? Why does it take so long ?
Goodness gracious.... congrats
t-Roy, state law allows only 2 percent of the total number of whitetailed deer gun licenses available each year to be issued as muzzleloader licenses. Of those, they get split in half for bucks and does. So for example in 2017, 1,022 muzzleloader licenses were issued, one half (511) as antlered whitetail and one half (511) as antlerless whitetail. There are a lot of applicants trying for only 511 tags, of course the number of tags fluctuates yearly depending on the G&F survey's and allotted tags given out each year.
nice mounts and a year you'll always remember!
You picked the right handle!
Maybe do some curls to tighten up the biceps:)
Thanks for posting. C
I really like that idea. Looks awesome! Congrats!
That looks awesome! It looks like its cold enough to freeze hell over in that muzzleloader pic.
Impressive! Nicely done. Paul
I hope one of these years I have the need to do this!
Thats a great year, beautiful animals and nice display. Congrats!
buzz mc - Yes, it was the last day of the season, so December 10th or something like that. It was -2 and I had been either hiding behind a tree or laying face down in the snow for 5 hours before he finally stood up.
