I got excited when I saw the email from CPW about "SALES LIMITED LICENSE DRAW". I was sure I'd drawn my sheep tag. When I opened the email the "SALE" was for $3. That will be about $2,200 less to pay on my CC bill. Oh well, I still have a chance at Moose!
I remember the last time I hunted sheep over 20 years ago in S32. I drew a resident license with 2 or 3 points. I sent a cedar shaft right over the back of small but legal ram with my longbow that year. No big deal. I figured I'd be hunting again in another 3 years or so. In 2014 I moved to New Mexico with 3+13 and am still dreaming of another chance to hunt sheep. After all, someone's got to draw the license! No luck in NM either.

Don't want to rain on any parades, but Forest, is that just your application email finally coming through? I'm just curious why the date on there would be March 25. Even though I applied back in March, I got a confirmation email in late April.
Really hope you drew, I'll probably never know the feeling.

I don't think that's from an email. Looks like a copy-paste of his application status on his "My Orders - Draws" page on the CDPW website. He applied March 25th.Should be real easy to tell whether he drew by the big colored box that reads "AWARDED". Easy confirmation is also to check whether he has any Goat preference points.

Any of you chaps know when the preference point tally will be updated? I put in for both a deer and an elk point, and it still only shows the points I purchased in 2014 (one each), despite having put in for points again in this draw.

Deer and elk draw (as well as all other big game species besides sheep/goat) is still a few weeks away. Look for those results and preference point updates in early June.
