Just saw this article on line. Have heard a lot of talk via some of the podcasts I listen to but always thought it was a long shot. Kudos to Idaho Fish and Game for taking the first step.

Yeah...those judges presiding in federal courts 2000 miles east have greater knowledge than any local, yokel state wildlife management department.

Thats good to hear. I'm sure it will get fought but at least its the first step. Hope MT follows soon. For some reason we are always the last to the table on this stuff.

Does the limit of 1 seem low? Maybe they just want to work all the kinks out and I also guess MT just wants to sit back and see what happens in WY and ID.

I'm sure the number of tags is in line with Idaho's management plan.

I read that the quota of 1 is based on total area that the grizzlies hunt in compasses. Idaho is 8% of the area which relates to 1 tag.
