Montana winter kill

I didn't think our local winter kill (411/412 units) was too bad until I talked to a couple ranchers the other day. Turns out they had quite a few dead deer and antelope. Makes me wonder just how bad the rest of the state was.

From my spring trips around the state . The eastern half from the Rocky Mountain front to North Dakota . Got hammered.

The good thing is we will still have tons of tags and 80% of them will be filled right here in eastern Montana. MFWP,....Montana's..,Failed..,Wildlife..., Plan.

That’s the truth. To many btags. There should be 0 mule deer doe tags in Montana . That’s a joke!

Seen more deadhead bulls/bucks this year around Bozeman then I ever have. It was a tough winter and a brutal spring. Even worse to the East.
