I think keeping track of practice volume will motivate me to practice more this year. I'm thinking there ought to be a cell phone app that keeps track of practice days, as well as practice volume. Anyone using a particular app for that?

??? What does sound have to do with practice?

From: Deertick

Not sound ... volume. Volume of practice might be something like 5 rounds of 3 shots = 15 total shots. Volume in weightlifting, for instance, is sets x reps. In place of "volume", let's use "amount".

I wanted to keep track last year for string purposes. I just used the Notepad that's already on the Iphone. Opened a note, and kept track of date and number of shots

Hand write it in a notebook. I myself love hard copy.

Just practice everyday can’t lose track that way!

I track black bear sightings in "Notes" on the phone. Works very well.

MyTargets Archery lets you track volume & plat the location of the arrows in your round.

Buy a stack of paper targets.

Put one up for each session/distance.

Shoot it.

Score it.

Record the date.

Commit to shootind a 300 round once a week. Every Sunday, for example. You will not be satisfied with your score, so you will have incentive to practice a couple times throughout the week. Keep track of your 300 scores, which will show your progress

Just keep your score, plenty of aps for that, "volume" of practice doesn't mean anything without improvement!!! One perfect controlled shot sequence a week would be better than a bunch of crappy ones!
