How does that even happen? Looks like it came up from under the car right behind the firewall? Somebody please explain what I’m missing! And yes I hope the driver is ok, although doubtful!

My biggest fear when driving at night in moose country. I don’t see how the driver could have survived.

I'm new here (from Maine) - this happened a few years back. The driver survived without any significant issues. I was actually looking for a car at the time and the Hyundai dealer was talking up their safety, referencing this accident. Seemed like more luck to me!

Happens quite often in Maine (although still less than deer in other states). Back in my hometown, they've had 5 hit in the past couple of weeks alone. Driving at night there is no joke, that's for sure.
