I had a couple of private messages that maybe 6-8 weeks old. They are no longer there. Does Bowsite not allow to store them any more or is there some other section I'm missing other than "archived messages"?

Nah man it sucks they automatically get deleted after awhile... best to trade email and then use that

They are automatically deleted after 30 days!

Highlight and copy the text from the PM's, paste them into an email to yourself, email them to yourself and save them...
