Well considering how well the non-vented fly you won't even notice you've got anything on the front :) I originally ordered 150gr solids that fly awesome from both my compound and recurve, but then the addiction became too much and I ordered more 150gr solids as well as some 100gr vented.

I did a bunch of practice shots the other day with my IW, flew great.

But I gotta say, the bleeder blades are a real bitch to resharpen with my Gatco

I shoot the 125 grain vented for everything. But I've shot 125 grain broadheads ever since we learned that it was supposed to matter. Before that we just bought whatever broadhead the hardware store sold and put them in the front of our arrows of unknown weight and then went hunting and killed stuff.

I shoot the 125 vented. They fly well, are super sharp, and are re sharpenable. I’ve shot a black and brown bear with them and they worked exceptionally well. Will be chasing grizzly in late August with them.

Iron Will Kill
I started shooting Iron Will 125gr. vented heads last summer to prepare for my 2017 elk hunt. I shot 3 practice arrows. One arrow had the Iron Will head the other two arrows had two different cut on contact heads. I shot somewhere around 100 shots with all heads into a Reinhart target at various ranges. Two of the heads were as dull as butter knives. The Iron Will was still killing sharp. I stroped it a couple of times with a leather strap and it was shaving hair off my arm. I used the same arrow and head to take this elk last fall. I will be trying for something bigger this coming fall and I will be using Iron Will's.

I must say that I am impressed with the penetration of these heads. I recently received my order of 6 125gr vented broadheads. I shoot into a leather scrap target that I've had for 35 years. Its 12" deep and will stop anything I sling at it (16" of the leather will stop a 7mm Rem Mag at point blank range).

First shot with the Iron Will at 40yds penetrated the entire 12" of leather and contacted the plywood on the back of the target. In 35 years I've never had another broadhead do this! Can't wait to try this baby on an elk in a month.

These are great heads, can’t wait to use them on my elk hunts this year. I only killed one deer with them last winter and they worked great.
