I do admit that I am on the lighter side possibly. And, I was talking field dressed weight. But, I've peered up a tree to many a bear and, saw just as many while sneaking around in the woods. Its been my experience that the de-liar proves many a people wrong. And, just like elk meat loads, most way over estimate bears. If people were the only proof, most bull elk take 5, 90 pound pack loads and, most black bears weigh 350 lbs. :^)

The ears don't look really tiny, so I might agree with everyone that said 200-225- thanks to that big ol' bear belly.

Impossible to tell without something of known size in background for reference. 160 - 180lbs on the hoof.

175 tops - weighed my bear this year and had a real eye opener. The outfitter actually said he doesn’t like to weigh client’s bears for them as he’s seen too many smiles turn to frowns. I think bear weight is even more overestimated than antler scores.

It's impossible to say without a definitive scale of reference.
Personally I think it looks like a good bear, but...

To be honest I would think scale weight would be closer to the 140 lb range.

Right around 250lbs, probably a little less. No way that bear hits the 300lb. mark.

The comments about it being hard to tell without some reference are dead on, but I would say based on the pic that bear very likely doesn't go 200 and is likely closer to 150-160. I have been pretty close on the couple dozen bears I have been there when they were harvested.
It's funny that nearly every time I have been at the tree for a kill someone estimates more than double what I do. As soon as the bear hits the ground, they subtract 25%. After a little while and the gutting stars, they tell me I was pretty close.
