That does look like a grizzly....it would be nice to have a clearer pic. Those don`t look like black bear claws to me.

According to our DNR if it isn't a breeding pair its not indigenous. And unless an actual DNR employee witnessed it wasn't even there.

DL, what source reports this is from California?
As far as I know, there haven't been Grizzlies in California since the turn of the (20th) Century, or even Oregon for that matter.

Definitely a grizzly and chunky but I'm not sure it's real big,based on the ear size.Possibly a sow.

Ok, went to my source who is a retired Government trapper/hunter/guide and someone was just screwing with him. Not In CA! Wherever it’s at I sure wouldn’t want run into it. Their scientific name pretty much says it all.
