Dress right for Antelope.

When hunting early season antelope in new Mexico, it is crtical to dress right. With temps over 105-degrees, one must stay cool and there is no shade. Not a single tree on Tres Sombreros ranch.

They had a windmill fed tank on the ranch-about 20-feet across, four feet deep and cold as a Montana sheep herder's toes. That afternoon, we all-hunters, TV crew, everybody hit the tank, some of us had sorta suits on, some didn't. It was quite a hunt with 100% kill on big lopes. But dang,it was some hot. We were only 21-miles from the Mexican border.
