One I glassed this morning made those look like dinks. I am still a little dirty even after a shower. Unfortunately, I have no tag here but I am helping some good buds from MO hunt it the first week of season.

I posted about weird noises previously.......had decided it might be bull moose grunts. I determined it is a bird that dive bombs then when it pulls up their feathers make the weird noise. More better than bull moose everywhere........

The noise might be a nighthawk. They make a strange whooshing sound when they dive. Some dandy elk.

These had a large white spot about 2/3's of the way towards each wingtip. Googled it...yup that nighthawk appears to be the bird.

If you see glowing red dots in your headlights in the middle of the road, same bird. Don't know why they like to sit in the road. Think they are hunting bugs when they are swooping around.

Thx guys. I have a 1000 mm lens I plan to try out from up high glassing spot. It is a bit of a drive so not sure how soon I get to try it out but hope to get some cool long range pics while not spreading my stank around the area.
