Anybody know of a commercial rangefinder holder, that goes on your shoulder or somewhere up high on your chest? Was thinking it would be nice to have one where you could easily get to it if you needed to range just prior to shooting that required very little movement to get out and put up and wouldn't be in the way. Mine is currently in either my pocket or waist muff but it can be a pain to get out. Also, don't like the thought of it being around my neck - could see that getting grabbed by the bowstring! Thought someone might know of one or have something rigged that they use and really like.

Thanks,

Lee

I use one of the solo hunter branded horn hunter bino harnesses it has a rangefinder pouch on the side. Also attaches to the finder with a bungee so it can hang down instead of having.to fumble it out everytime.

There's a lot of these out now from different companies too.

I have a piece of elastic, I put over my head and one arm, hangs tight to body at slightly above waist level For this year I switched to bino harness with the Leupold case attached, I tethered the rangefinder with a coiled shoelace. Pretty happy with it so far but have only used it for practice

A buddy of mine that hunts a lot of elk taped his to the head of his quiver. I thought this was strange until I seen it. Use a "retractable tether" and attach it to your bino harness.

KUIU makes one that I really like. Multiple ways to attach.

I use the Kuiu holder as well. Works great!

This, can be slipped on anywhere and I put the cord through my Bino Harness so that I can let it hang if need be...

Kuiu also attached to my Kuiu harness.

Got a Kuiu pouch this spring. Clever attachment that solves the problem of it sliding off you bino harness when you detach the harness from the buckle. Mine works very well on the basic Alaska Guide Creations bino pouch.

Used to be a thing you could get called a range snap. Used it for years. Just snapped it on the shoulder of my bino harness. It would flop around a bit, but was right there.

Don't know if you can still get them or not.

I use Kuiu but do not like it up as high as my chest strap where I currently have it. Makes putting it away a pita. I bought the short tether from them too so it's not long enough to move to the waste strap. :( Not sure what I am doing yet.

I checked earlier today with hunting site owner who used to carry RangeSnap in their on-line store --- appears the maker is no longer in business. Too bad --- a great product!

I did a quick YouTube search and this guy has a pretty easy solution. Pretty much exactly the position and distance I was looking for. May flop around a bit, though. I will have to play with it.

Thanks,

Lee

I would give a good look at the outdoor vision, I just got one and I love it, seems like it would be hard to beat but haven’t tried others.

Check out the one from Crooked Horn. It attaches to their bino straps. Easy to get to and out of the way.

Lee, We have a rangefinder pouch with a few different attachment options. You can see them on our website at www.outdoorvisiongear.com. We are also a Bowsite sponsor. PM me if interested. Thanks, Geoff

I have been using a Range Snap for years and really like it. Puts the range finder where you need it.

I really like the range snap but I had to really modify my S4 Bino harness for it to work.

Is Outdoor Vision new? Looks like a solid bino/rangefinder system. I entertained the idea of starting an LLC with that same name a couple years ago (making custom scope and camera adapters). My first working prototype worked awesome.

YZF-88 Wow. That's pretty neat. Had to do a double take, seeing our name on there. Yes, we are relatively new.
