Honey Burns for BlackiesContributors to this thread:
We have a "No Bait" State here in Northern New York for Black Bears...I want to kill one with longbow this fall without actual bait, but rather by doing a honey burn or incense wicks, etc...Can anyone shed any experiences or insight in using Olfactory products rather than consumable baiting techniques for a roaming remote Mountain Black Bear?
Read on here that in NY, it needs to be 1.5 oz or less to be considered a scent instead of bait.
So your saying a five gallon bucket of honey set on fire is illegal?
James valley scents. Knock out and bruin buster. Small amount long distance call.
Northwood bear products has powder [dust] that is extremely strong a little bit goes a long way
