Kentucky Elk HuntingContributors to this thread:
as a non resident, I apply, but never drew. However, I was watching the Bone Collector show on TV, how do these guys, also non residents, get these tags? What am I missing,,,,,, are their special tags for big money? anyone know who is from KY
That is a great hunting state,,,,,,,
you can obtain tags from land owners or organizations that have conservation tags for fundraising.
oh, well that's what they probably do..... I will look into that land owners tag issue,,,, thanks for the help
it is my understanding that landowners with a minimum amount of land requirement who allow public hunting for elk on their property can obtain a landowner permit and it is transferable. maybe you can contact the kentucky department of fish and wildlife and obtain the list of landowners and contact them from there. good luck.
I already did, and its 5000 acres, and their very very expensive
supply and demand at its finest.
