Looking for ideas on how to mount the wildebeest I got. Tannery called and hides are ready to go. So I’m starting with the beest then the kudu.

Mine is just the typical shoulder mount like you would do with a deer. Decide whether to have it turning one way or the other, depending on where it will be hung. Or you could do a pedestal.

Some great mounts! Love the birds on the kudu. Great idea. Debating on fixing the kudu horn or leave it as is??

Not a wildebeest but I clustered some of them. It was fun building my own pedestals and laying them out how I wanted rather than getting something back and trying to find a fit for where it would go.

I’m planning on doing a pedestal of my impala and blesbok together. Going to put the gemsbok with an oryx I took in Texas a couple years ago. So it’s downto the kudu and wildebeest. Anyone do any wall pedestals?

Leave horn as is, its how it is. Great mounts all. I am still waiting for my Euro mounted wildebeest and Impala, and tanned flatskins. Wait time is too long. I almost think they are going to keep them. shot them last Sept., and haven't heard much in the last few months. Any idea on how long this takes? Thanks.

Hey Trapper if it was anything like mine and my buddies, the shipping process was painful. It took four months from the time we got notice before I put hands on my stuff. Delta lost all of out paperwork luckily I did not have any cites critters so fish and wildlife accepted copies for my stuff. My buddy not so lucky his has been held in fish and wildlife purgatory. They are being absolutely rediculious with accepting copies and duplicate paperwork. So 11 months from when we went til I goy my stuff. It’s a long painful expensive wait. But still worth it!

As far as fixing your Kudu horn; many taxidermists can build back the missing horn, not many know how recreate it with an acceptable looking ivory tip. I worked out this method recently with some newer materials available and did a proof of concept.

AZ what did u use? I’m thinking of trying to repair it myself. I’ve fixed oryx horns where they split from removal but this is a whole other level. The ivory top is definitely something I want if I try to fix. I like the autamen idea. I have the back skin from my gemsbok and wildbeest. Any thoughts on incorporating the tails? I th8nk they are the coolest!!
