I just noticed a fire has broken out within 10 miles of where i'm intending to go in 3.5 weeks...

Not sure how to handle this? Keep an eye on how it develops? Start planning a different location?

It is 50acre fire that is 18% contained as of now...

Open to any and all suggestions..

thanks

Looked on a map.. I think you'll be fine.. keep an eye on it, but if it doesn't grow dramatically and the containment level raises, I think you'll be ok.

10 miles is a long ways off. Definitely keep tabs on it but if it is still 10 miles as the crow flies when you head into your area, I wouldn't worry.

Unless you are hiking 9 miles in towards the fire.
