Pin size and color

Thinking of switching to the .10 pins from the .19. The .19 pins just seem to block out too much of the target. Was thinking top 2 green middle yellow bottom 2 green. Never used yellow but think it would be better than red. Just seeing what everyone else runs.

I use 3 green pin .026/.019/.019. I have a hard time seeing a .010. I can see the green the best, yellow is just ok and red is poor. Especially in a blind.

I use green, yellow, green, all .019" on a Tommy Hogg slider. Thinking of trying a .010" for the bottom pin. I also use a verifier for these senior's eye's.

I use the .010 on a single pin in green. I would never have two pins the same color consecutive in order on a multi-pin sight. Easy to choose the wrong one when having to take a quick shot. Shawn

Can you see a .010 pin with the sun is in or slightly in your face?

I'm using the IQ sight and after looking at it again it seems the material surrounding the pin seems a bit much, which I'm guess is blocking out some of the target. Everything at 30 yds .19 seems to big. It is fine on deer but when shooting spots I'm just covering the area

Just put an three pin slider on with three pins all green .019 Did not like how the third pin covered so much so I changed it for .010 Much better 40 and beyond, imho.

Wish I could use a slider but I am a hand amp, so I hold the bow with my left hand and draw with my prosthetic. Don't think I could move that slider with my foot if I needed to. ??

As a retiree, I need 0.019" pins to see them decently. Changed out a couple of 0.010" green pins on the bottom of my 5-pin Black Gold Verdict slider for the bigger ones....they are available for sale if you want to try a 0.010" pin fits most any Black Gold sight, or at least the 3 generations of them I have.

FWIW, my eyes see the yellow just a well as the green. Maybe better.

I like green or yellow but not red. I can see red but have eyeglass induced prism effect making the red pins appear to be left of the green and yellow pins when shooting and viewing the sight at 30* from perpendicular (straight-on).

20 and 30 are .029, next 3 are .019. Green/yellow/green alternating

I use all .019 20 40 and 60 are green 30 and fifty are red. easy to make sure i'm on the right pin.

I alternate green and yellow 0.19 pins from 20 to 60, and I use a verifier. Bottom pin is also on a Dial, so the distance is variable.

When your colorblind like me, they all look the same. Just a bright pin. I like .019.
