Today is the first day under 200#. 40# in 4 months and I feel great!!
Good luck....just 16 days to the opener.
Good job, your pack will be forty pounds lighter now!!
Clip those toenails and paint them white, for comfort and good luck.
Wow, that's quite an accomplishment. It shows dedication.
Congrats!
Congrats and good luck! Great picture on the mountain!
good job!! I did the same thing 5 years ago and it changed my life in amazing ways. takes some work to keep it off because food is good!
Craig
Great accomplishment Forest. Go get your goat and get ready for the next challenge - keeping the weight off from now on.
Way to go man! Best of luck on your hunt!
Way to go Forest! A great accomplishment
you deserve one man good luck
May luck be with you amigo...
Congratulations!! I'm almost with you. I was at 247 pounds in March and have a goal of getting under 200.
Six years ago I was pushing 275, easily out of breath and size 2 xl tops and 40" pants were getting tight. I began working out 5-6 days a week, focusing a lot on cardio and strength. I had gotten much more "fit" but still had plenty of fat. Prior to March my fitness was much improved, size xl tops and 34" pants. Right now I'm at 203 pounds. Still wearing the same sizes but they are fitting much looser. Can't wait to see the scale break that 200 pound mark. Leaving for a Coues deer hunt in 9 days, hope to see it happen before I go!
I've been following along with your posts. Best of luck on your hunt, you've earned it!
Jeff
CONGRATS! Great discipline!!
Mark
Full breaths are cool! Way to go!
Congratulations! Great accomplishment already! Now go put some red on that white icing on the cake ;-)
Way to go Forest! Outstanding results seen from all of your hard work. I have a feeling those goats are in trouble! My goal this summer was to lose 20 pounds, only 25 more to go. :-)
Losing weight as we get older is not easy....good work. That comment about your toenails was just a joke...those could be a potential issue. Good luck you have addressed the number #1 problem for goat hunters....conditioning.
That's funny Scoot...Congrats again Forest.
Jeff, I stalled out at 202 for almost a week and a half.
Awesome! Please no more pics of your toes......
210 was my nemesis. I was stuck there for entire month of July. August hit and boom, started falling off again. I'm sure I have hit just under 200 after a workout but I weigh myself at the same time each morning before the workout. Don't want to include the sweat loss.
I turn 50 in just a couple weeks. I will be in WAY better shape at 50 than I was at 40...or even 30 for that matter. I love the workouts.... and have accepted the better eating (I hate the term "diet"). Can't wait to follow your goat hunt.
Nice work, Forest! Scoot... well played, man! :)
Well done, Forest. Good luck on your goat bowhunt!!
Well done! Enjoy the rest of the journey,
What has been your workout plan, Forest?
Scoot, I love it!!!!!!!
Get em Forest.
Great job Forest!!! Now go run, Forest run and get 'em!
Scoot, it's like helping your Uncle Jack off a horse...
Good for you...isn’t it nuts that it takes an animal to have us try to get into shape?
I would lift heavy 3 days a week at least 30 minutes of hard cardio four times a week eat a lot of salad and protein shakes about it
Good job! I'm down 25# in prep for Kodiak but I'm just now where you started, lol
Fantastic job, best of luck on your hunt.
194# this morning. Down 46# total. This is my pack 55# with bow and water 6-8 days of food.
Long as you have room for the Billy! ;-)
Looks like your all ready for a great hunt. Hard work paying off, gotta love it.
congratulations on the hard part! Pick a spot and make it happen.
To reduce the leverage the bow induces, I would suggest rigging the bow as close to your back as possible. Secure to the side of your backpack worked well during my goat hunt.
What's the first day of your hunt?
What I meant was, it looks goofy.
Go get em, enjoy the trip and congrats on the nice Muley!
Great for you and your commitment!
Thanks for taking us along.
Good luck, Robb
Someone drew blood!
Can't wait to see/read what's next. Sure hope it ends well for you.
That looks like a good sign! ;-)
I see the red spot but that looks like the same red I saw when trailing a wounded cow elk. The red turned out be be some mashed red berries on a log that a squirrel had left.
Good luck Forest. my best, Paul
Looks good! Looking forward to the story!
Hope that’s more than mashed berries!
I don't see any berry plants around.....and there is no "height" to the red color.....implying that it is probably liquid rather than solid......I'm betting that it is blood from goat....probably a dead one. Might be time to check Facebook.....
Jake has Facebook? Say it isn't so?! Lol
Nice job, Forest!
Forest nailed it. I don't do FB, but my wife has an account.
Twernt berries;-)
Great work, Forest!
