It’s ironic that most of the state officials and bear “protectors” who are against the hunt live in the big cities where they seldom even SEE a bear! They don’t have to live with the problems of over-population in the rural areas! : (

All problem bears should be relocated to urban green space, where the folks that love’em can take care of them.

Without population control, they will eventually move into the big cities.

This is what happens when science takes a back seat to politics and emotions. Sadly, I forsee alot more of this in the future.

Smoke and mirrors at best I think. This executive action is illegal and should be over ruled in short order. He knows this but pulled this stunt to appease all the bear huggers he made promises to.

I was happy to get out of NJ because of its politics but now I've got Gov. Cuomo who says our country was never great! you just can't win !

Liberal insanity is exactly why I moved out of IL and into IN 17 years ago. Lower taxes, far fewer gun laws and all around better state to live in. My friend lives in a town just over the border and his house is about the same SQ' as mine +/- 100 feet and his property taxes are over 2x as much $2450 VS $1100. Liberals really AREN'T "LIBERALS" They stole that label from the "Libertarian Party". What they and the DemacRats actually are is "Socialists" and ALL socialists and socialist governments are inescapably tyrannical because once they control the government they forcibly by taxation without representation force successful people who work for a living to for fit by confiscation their wealth and redistribute it to those who have chosen not to work. Not long ago one of the larger cities in CA just informed private businesses that after 3 or 4 years a previously repealed new tax hike was now going to be re-instated retroactively for 3-4 years and sent letters to all the private businesses in that town they now owed 3-4 years of back taxes. If that is not an overt act of a tyrannical government I don't know what one would be. People and businesses who can flee states like CA, NJ, MA, NY, CT, IL the list goes on and on are for lower tax states like IN, AZ, NV and TX.

New jersey, new york, California and Illinois all run by leftists slowly turning their states into broke sheetsholes...sorry your stuck living there

Hoping the season happens. I'll find some non state property to hunt. Actually I hunt watershed property the last two years. Wonder what the dates will be.

The lake community I live in is surrounded by Wawayanda SP. 18 years ago dealing with bear was the daily norm. Trash, breakin's , trying to get in dog pen. It will all be back with this poor decision by Murphy.
