Just realized I was low on the 150gr VPA's and Buzzcuts I shoot.

So I Amazon-ed some of the 150gr straight 2 blade Buzzcuts [without the bleeders, one piece ferrule] 3 for $27. They are good quality steel at 45 Rockwell that holds a pretty good edge........and perfectly straight, good QC at Magnus.

They are a good inexpensive head...so if I lose one, or want to stump shoot a bunch, no big deal.

I will be shooting black hornet SERAZOR by Magnus along with QAD EXODUS! Exodus made short work of my bull last year...

I got some new free WASP broadheads from a bowsiter not long ago. That's what I'll be using, the price was right. Never used wasps before. 125 grains.

I'm sure they'll kill just fine.

100gr Magnus buzzcutt 2 blade. Also got one VPA non vented 125 in the quiver that lucky enough hits same out to 60 yards. Might give that VPA first honors but will be hard put much else through an elk than my trusted Magnus 2 blade. Seems they just don't run after shot with em. Bleed out right there. Some strange phenomenon. Good luck all.

No longer bowhunt Elk but have 30+ adventures chasing them behind me. Yes, I arrowed a few (recurve & compound). For the last 44 years it's been some model of a 3 blade 125 gr. Rocky Mountain. They have served me well & I stocked up on plenty b/4 they sold.. Elk, Whitetail, Mule Deer, Antelope, Buffalo, Hogs, Caribou, Bears & more have been in the mix.. Always sharp & fly great.

One of these...

Depending on the arrow setup and how I feel that day - from top to bottom: 200 gr Cutthroat, 200 gr Snuffer, 150 gr Snuffer, and 150 gr VPA.

Have killed elk with all 4 of these broadheads in the past with no problem.

That 200 gr Snuffer is pretty awesome :-)
