Has anyone here flown through Dubai on Emirates and if so, did you have to register your bow as a weapon and fill out all the appropriate paperwork? Please advise, thanks for any and all help.

I did in 2013 (I think?) and certainly did not. But I have no ideas if I was supposed to or not ;)
I fly with a badlands terra glide, so from the outside they would never know, but I’m certain they x-ray stuff too. I did not ever take possession of it though, checked through to JNB. I though Emeriats was a very good airline overall.

Thx! I'm going to file the paperwork though just in case.
Anyone else?

Look are air line regulations and the definition of a "fire arm".
A bow and arrow is normally defined by airlines as a "sporting goods" item and not a "fire arm." However different airlines could have different definitions and so could country legality of bow, guns, etc.

They added "weapon" after firearm and I chatted with them today, needed a paper trail and I do have to claim it.
