Going through some stuff and came across these, use to have a bunch of them. Does Il still give these out and anybody know why one of them is white. Been too long for me to remember?

Green are bow kills and colored ones are gun kills. Lately the CWD zones are black and white for those special seasons

IL still has them available, but you have to purchase them now.

Just to clarify, you do not have to purchase them. Most places where you can purchase hunting licenses (wal mart, farm and fleet, etc) will get a shipment of the deer pins every fall (usually mid october) and they will give them away for free. I've been collecting them for 20 years now and have every pin issued :); the green and white are archery, the black and white are for the CWD counties and the firearm pin color changes every year. Some of the pins from the first few years are quite valuable!

Bump- how much are they worth? Where can I sell mine? I’m gonna use the money for a down payment on a piece of huntin ground.

Dont sell em yet. Save em in case you drop your pistol in a lake somewheres down the road and need to replace it

Interesting, I'll have to check out Walmart next time I'm there. The closest stores to where I hunt are in MO, so I don't know if they'll get a shipment of pins. I had to buy mine online a few years ago.

Your get them when you check a deer in at the check station. I’ve never seen them at a store. I found a bunch i had over the years in drawer in the garage and put them on eBay. I was surprised they sold for close to $10 each.
