In 2003 and 2005 I did the standard South Africa "Sit by a waterhole" hunts. I really enjoyed both trips and saw a large number of assorted animals. After the second trip I considered the possibility of another but, on thinking about it, realized that while it was enjoyable watching the critters, as a "Hunting" trip it was about like going hunting at the zoo. With that in mind I have not returned to South Africa. Not to disparage anyone else, to each his own, but be aware that it may be quite different than most of the hunting one does in the U.S.A.

Yeah kinda like sitting in a blind at a water source hunting goats or sitting over bait hunting bears. Sitting in a tree stand over bait/food plot hunting deer . Yah I see how it's different.
