Which unit are you hunting? I'll be hunting 34 starting 9/15 for my first archery elk hunt. One of my employees had first hunt in 34 and took a nice 5X5. They started bugling like crazy latter part of the hunt, so hopefully it will continue.

@4M I had the first hunt in 34, saw some good bulls and i took a decent 5x5 on Sunday afternoon. Bulls were bugling everywhere we went, should be a good hunt.

I had so much fun in 16D years ago. Wonderful unit. Best hunting for quality bulls in any elk state or unit I have ever been in.
