Hiking in the Laramie River Valley yesterday morning took my breath away. I grew up in the West and realize just how spoiled I am. The passion to explore millions of acres of wild public land is as much a part of me as my next breath. This area has soothed my soul, inspired many adventures, and taught me a great deal about elk, deer, bear, wolves, pine marten, moose, and a myriad of other wildlife. Plus I've learned more about myself out there than any place else. Pinching myself.

Enjoy the video.

Thanks co- bowhunter. Spent many days of my youth in that valley, the Rawahs and chasing elk on green ridge. Hunting mornings and evenings and fly fishing the days away. Thanks again Bruce

I hate the fall colors here mostly because they disappear so quickly ... holding them is like trying to grab campfire smoke. Puff ... gone. So beautiful but makes me feel so powerless.

I feel the same way every morning I wake up and look out a window.
