Grizzly Bear season revoked
US Federal Judge Dana Christensen ruled to restore grizzly protection on Monday.
Will post the link when I can find it again....
I don't know why I constantly get double entries......sticky enter key? I find it hard to believe that the judge felt that the USF&W offiicals were "arbitrary and capricious"......they usually have pretty good science to back up the decisions that I have seen them make....
Wonder if the segment on 60-minutes, Sunday had anything to do with the ruling. When I saw it, it was a re-run, I mentioned to my wife, I thought the timing was not accidental.
“not about the ethics of hunting,”
I'll believe that when me shit turns purple and smells like rainbow sherbet.
Actually, I'm sure it wasn't about the ethics of hunting. It was about the politics of hunting.
An Obama appointed judge is anti hunting. Who woulda thunk it?
Exactly, an obummer judge.
That Judge is from New York and has never hunted anything but a parking space. He based his ruling on nothing more than junk science. Pure bias politics and I think he should be removed from the bench. So much for wildlife management based on science. Just more liberal green bull$hit.
The report I heard was that the judge had determined that as a threatened species existing in isolated pockets, they can't be hunted until the pockets are interconnected.
Let's talk lemonade....
If the bear habitat/populations are connected, that'll take a lot of wilderness areas linked together. Sure would be nice to see people putting their time and energy into making that happen instead of bitching around politics.
Hell, Don Jr. could probably write a check and gitterdone....
I live on prairie of MT, over 90 miles from any mountain range. There are well over a dozen different grizzly bears along the river bottom and breaks surrounding the river......there are so many old mature bears in mountains itsforced younger immature bears to other areas. I’d say the population is pretty intertwined in my neck of the woods!
Could well be the documentation that’s lacking, more than the population itself...
Maybe it ain't over, see linky:
"Cheney introduces legislation to again remove grizzly from federal protection"
Upon reading the comments after the article, it appears the judge's constituents all have accounts on that website.
Zbone, Thanks for that link.....as it pertains to this topic, we could use a few more Liz Cheney's.
Finally....someone with some sense is stepping up to the plate. Thank you Ms. Cheney.
This November's election is important guys. Get out there and vote and encourage your friends and loved ones to do the same.
