When I last had a compound, I had a Montana Black Gold 5-pin that worked extremely well... it my preference is for none at all.

Same exact method here JTV.....I got lucky and have the HHA with a single pin with 4 posts circling the pin but stops short of it....almost like a scope reticle. Not sure if they still make those.

EZ-View, eliminates the pin and clears up the distance, easy to use if you been accustomed to shooting a recurve/longbow.
