I am looking for some good, durable backpack straps to carry my Summit Openshot climber. I've been using the ones provided with the stand but they dig into my shoulders on long hikes in since they are not padded. Anyone have any feedback and preference on good, durable straps that make carrying a climber more comfortable.

This is the ultimate shoulder strap improvement. I hope the link works. If not, go here: https://www.archerytalk.com/vb/showthread.php?t=2305025

I just put this on my Summit climber. I'm very happy with it.

Yep, go with the MOLLE shoulder straps and hip belt. You can buy them off eBay.

I'm set up like cheesehead Mike, you can get away without the waist belt if you don't carry it real far. You can buy waist belt and straps separately. Other option is to just use an old frame pack.

If you need $70 straps to carry a treestand, it’s too heavy.

I have used replacement backpack frame straps and even took 2 straps off of old golf bags. You can also buy slip on pads to go over those cheesy straps that came with the stand. Another is take lambswool cut to 4" x 16"....cut a slit on the top and bottom and slide onto your existing straps.

Way back when (in the Army), we used to duct tape foam pads on our shoulder straps.
Cheap and customizable for your setup. Adds little weight too.
