12:21 PM LIVE from Ct*
This is my office view for the next 6+ hrs - have mobile camo iPad, still billable ;-) Settled in a fossil, yet comfortable Summit Bushmaster climber with Muddy Magnum safety harness. Platform is at approximately 22ft. Its overcast, 62f, NW/WNW wind; it's a cross breeze going from my left shoulder towards my right when facing 12 o'clock. I'm in a white & red oak patch with abundant acorns & deer droppings. I took a mature doe @34yds in this exact tree a year ago today @5pm. Not expecting much before the magical hour, but feel good about today after last night's drenching rain storms. Perhaps there will be some early browsers. I'll pop in now & again with updates in between my rigorous work day schedule

GL Smoothie! I thought I was the only person who still used a bushmaster... I love mine!
Hope someone feeds through looking for acorns for you. Enjoy the sit.

My back and legs would be killing me sitting in a stand for six hours.

Toonces, I'm a leaner. I think I stand/lean 75% of the time.
I've been glassing the area with binos often today and realized in all the years of hunting, I have never spotted a deer while randomly looking thru the binos. Always spot movement or deer first with naked eye. Anyone ever have success?

Not much to report besides seeing another hunter around 330pm @100yds, walking away from me to the east. Oddly enough, I saw him while glassing the area with binos. Go figure. Wind has shut down, dead calm now. Sun peeked out for a bit but back to overcast skies. Hanging in here til dark.
