Poached elk Wyoming

An elk was found in elk area 39 in Wyoming that had been killed during the archery season by an archer with only the head being skinned out with no attempt to recover the meat between September 22 and 24 according to the Wyoming Game and Fish. More than likely the hunter didn’t find the elk until the elk was spoiled and just tagged it and took the antlers

OT I agree but at this time the WGFD is investigating it as a wanton waste and stated that it was killed with an arrow during those dates posted. The antlers would have to have been tagged before leaving the field and the loss reported
