I finally got my first one . After opening day and lots of practice I hit the woods again to get my first bowkill. Armed with my mission craze with 26dl and drawing 41 pounds I set out for my first bow deer. Hunted the morning having a couple encounters but no shots then went to a tree stand over a field and had deer in it the whole time then I had a doe at 20 yards and shot high again. About 30 mins later a couple of spikes and a 6 point walk out and feed, they where about to exit the field when I hit the grunt call and turned the 6 point on a dime heading right to my tree. I made a 18 yard shot got a pass through and clipped lung and hit guts he ended up only going about 70 yards before expiring. Thanks for all the help with my questions

Good for you buddy. Hope this is the first in a long line of animals your take with a bow. Today, this deer, the circumstance of the shot,...all of it,...will stay with you forever. Well done! Take the advise from Scoot, don't let the girls get in the way. Either they'll appreciate and understand (as best they can) or they won't. I've been at both ends and I'll tell you which one is nicer. I have two little ones now and had to slow up a bit but she is still very understanding and enjoys the evenings with the kidos. Jeff
