My brother in law and I are looking for an outfitter/guided hunt in the state of CO. I looked at the Outfitters page and contacted all of the ones listed. If you know of any others, please share them with me. Thanks

San Juan Outfitters. Justin runs great camps, has a lot of elk in his areas, and they put some good bulls in the ground every year. He's building a great ruputation, has several permit areas and he knows his areas.

Bear Mountain Outfitters out of Kremmling, CO. Brad Probst. Reasonable priced. Good accomodations and meals. 2 people to a cabin for sleeping. Nearly 100% shot opportunity during archery hunts.

check out both Ute Trail Guide Service in Salida and La Garita Outfitters. Both offer great hunts and have different hunting areas.

Another vote for Bear Mountain ranch.
What sort of hunt are you looking for? Wilderness horseback hunt in a wall tent? Ranch hunt from cabins? Your chances of success will be better on a ranch hunt but some folks want that wilderness experience. If you want that you can look at CWO (Comanche Wilderness Outfitters)

We are not really looking for any kind of style (ranch/wilderness). We are looking for a quality hunt with good odds of shooting bull elk. It might turn into a muzzleloader hunt if we are able to draw tags for the unit we decide to hunt.

Guides/ outfitters are unit specific, meaning they can only guide in the units that they are allowed. do you have a certain area in mind. zimmy

I do not have a specific unit. We have 2 or 3 points each right now and will build more if needed. Due to my job I can only hunt out of state every 3 years so I am planning for 2021 at this point. This is the first step in the process. I figured I would post here with guys that are honest and open with reviews.
