One time looking for lion tracks in the Bitterroot we rounded a bend and there was “stuff” All over the road in the snow. We stopped, got out and it took about 2 seconds to piece together what had happened. A pack of wolves had pulled a small black bear from a shallow den and proceeded to play tug of war with it. There were pieces of bear, blood, and fur scattered in 20 yard circle. What a gruesome way to go.
Wow! That was an awesome video! Nature is cruel, tough, awesome and beautiful all at the same time. The reality is, that was just a bear doing what bears do! Amazing that happened right off of the road!
Wow, thanks for sharing... Anybody know where this was at? That Grizzly was pretty aggressive to keep digging after people stopped to watch... Makes ya wonder if on foot that bear wouldn't have tried to eat you..
Xbone, I agree 100 percent that bear wasn't afraid of those guys or the truck at all. I would bet that bear is a problem for some archery hunters someday.
Noooo.... that can't be true..... they are all just fuzzy cuddly fwends....... living together in peas and harmoney...... humans can learn from the animals.....
Wow, is the only way to explain it. What a experience to witness. Sounds like the cub might of got u A tree and was screaming for mamma? Very cool video. One question, why didn't you walk up and video the rest for us? Lol
Yeah LBshooter, I too wonder if the squalling cub made it up a tree and survived...
skull - "I’m just wondering how many time can this be happening"
Read a book about about a Grizz's life as a teen, I think it was fiction, but anyhow there was a lot of conflict between Grizzlies and Black Bears eating each other, big blacks eating small griz and visa versa... Must be true... I know big boar bears will eat cubs any chance they get... Also, there a video on youtube of a big AK Brown Boar killing a female Brown...
Would have been better if recorded in landscape mode. Why people record in vertical, I have no idea. Imagine watching Star Wars in vertical! :) C’mon people, turn that phone sideways so we can get a better video. :)
Lost man the grizzly ran off chasing the third cub which ran out first. Turn your sound up and you can hear the cub screaming. It's either up a tree or being eaten by the grizz.
