I had TV on in other room. Pursuit channel. Heard this horrible crying. Had to back it up. It footage was so profoundly shocking - just had to capture with my phone and share. True embarrassment to our sport. Stan Potts got nothing on this guy. I think this was an ozonics infomercial. Lol!!!!
Actually - the guy sort of looks like the infamous “Turkeybowmaster”. Is it possible?????
good Lord! you'd think he just saved the world!
Can't imagine the display when he lost his virginity!
Haha i have the same thing on my phone. I watched it the first time and had to rewind it and record it....
it seems so sincere though
Whitetails make guys do the stupidest things. Think back to all the stupid stuff you see. Guys pulling carcasses out of a ditch to take a photo, wounded and lost deer celebrated 2 years later when they find the bleached out bones “at least I found the horns”
If he is that upset with the ground shrinkage...he should never have shot the buck! Stan Potts Jr.?
He is a recent graduate of Hornporn University. He's just getting in touch with his inner self, cut him a little slack. Or just cut him........
The guy used to post alot on Bowsite .......obviously that was an extremely heavy monkey to be carrying around
its the camera man's fault. he should have given the guy a minute.
that does seem to be a bit of an over-reaction. a shed tear over the accomplishment of a hunting lifetime, or sharing in the happiness of another person's accomplishment, is one thing. hysteria is a something else.
If I did that my wife would leave me.
"Can't imagine the display when he lost his virginity!" Midwest, you are assuming that it has happened.
That is what hunting with Glen Beck would be like.
I clearly remember being 11 years old in grade 6 and getting chewed out by my grade 6 teacher and I started to cry. He took me aside outside the classroom and told me I was too old to cry. I was now a young man. I never cried again.
Someone never got that talk. Mind you, seems the average woman thinks guys should never receive that talk. This is what women "want."
Wow... just wow. I bet he wet his britches too.
I love the response Midwest gave to this! I also wonder if Ol' Stan have a son? Could it be???
I don’t normally break out into uncontrollable laughter when I am alone, but watching this, yeah, I LOLd
LMAO! Looks like Mathews signed a new property staffer!! :-D
Unable to view it here at work, but I'm assuming he has a personal trainer, shaves his arms, and wears designer camo?
What has happened to 'men' ?
What an embarrassing display of estrogen.
It got on my nerves so much I couldn't even watch to the end.
Maybe he just realized it didn't have the required 5" base circumferences. Pathetic...
A lot of this would never happen if not on camera. TV hunting shows have produce a lot of .................................................. Well you get the drift. my best, Paul
Damn that embarrassed me...
I did that once when I accidentally shot a nubby buck instead of a doe on my buddies nice place.
Is that Johnny Knoxville or Luke Bryan? Can’t tell if Johnny is doing a Jackass stunt or if Luke Bryan just found the buck he was asking about.....is he down?!?
No way that’s for real.... right?....
Ok WTF!!! Who put that douche bag on TV? I would say his buddy needs to slap some sense into his ass, but he prbably did something else to his ass before that. Holy Crap!
There was a thread on here last year about crying after killing a critter. I said hell no I don’t cry after the killing is done and about 90% of the guys on here couldn’t believe it, most all said they cry after the kill . I’m sure he was one of them..
That was hilarious, as were some of your guys responses. Unbelievable!
That dude should go into hiding for the rest of his life after that.
I wonder if he mounted it in the field before taking it to the taxidermist.
I really do not know what to say.
I understand feeling emotion after killing an animal, both sadness for taking a life and happiness for getting a great animal, bit that dude is screwed up.
The sad part was that that was not the first time he saw the deer. His bow was on the deer when he walked up on camera.
Funniest thread I have seen on bowsite. From lack of camo can I assume he was hunting a ranch over food? For some reason I have nobody like that in my deer camp.
What the video does not show is seconds later a big beer can came flying down and crushed him.
PS: Neat sweatpants.
Am I the only one that's watched it about 10 times? I'm dying! WTF is he saying??? LMAOOOOOO!
Glad you all enjoyed it. When I heard the cry and realized it was a grown man crying over a buck he shot - definitely a wtf moment.
There’s something wrong with that boy.
Any reason why he was in street clothes if he just shot the deer?
I have seen Vicki Cincirello (sp?) react similar to Stan Potts on more than a few occasions.....making those "high school kid that just came from the red light district" sounds.
Bowhunting with Richard Simmons........
This thread is hilarious, the dude in the video not so much. What's even more funny is I believe this is the same guy that was an internet bully over on Iowa whitetail. Whenever someone would say something negative about one of his latest inventions he would go ballistic on them.
I could see that. Its been my experience in life that people that have never been forced to grow up, are the most emotionally unstable humans on the planet. They cry when they are happy, when they are sad, when they are mad, etc... The have no ability to match their emotion with the situation. Everything has always been about them and their personal "battle's".
Probably doubling up on "his" estrogen to speed up "his" sex change procedure.
And the sweat pants are a reminder to squat when "he" tinkles. Not that"he" would mind wetting "his" pants, since "he's" already a bed wetter.
Yeaahhhh......I had to re-play that a few times to believe it. The wailing is one thing, but more baffling that he had no misgivings doing it for the camera.
What’s probably even more embarrassing is that was likely the 3rd take. If you’ve seen tv crews work you know that wasn’t the first time he laid hands on that buck.
Oh dear! That was one of the funniest things I have seen in a long time.
I confess, I DO cry like that..................when I have to leave camp and head home!
That buck was killed in Iowa last year.
Here is an "Iowa" video worthy of a tear...take a few minutes and watch this if you don't mind. Well worth it:)
The Iowa wave is touching and worthy of a tear. A few times in a man's life crying is acceptable. Killing a deer is not one of those times.
"that dude is screwed up" Amen! Pleeeeeease tell me he's acting! Jim Carrey couldn't have done a goofier job of crying.
"What an embarrassing display of estrogen."
I think a lot of women are embarrassed for him. LOL!
Hard to believe but it was funnier the second time. The facial expressions are priceless! I guess that's what killing "Walter Payton" does to a man!
This guy went over the top, but Stan Potts is just CREEPY.
He should definitely surrender his man card!
That looks like a Hank Patterson skit...hilarious
I know who should of got it and it wasnt no whitetail.
I hope I never see that again.
Why I don’t watch TV. The sad truth is that is the “real deal” to some.
Wow! Looks like the buck nods in agreement around 50 sec mark.
Good Lord...I just threw up in my mouth a lil bit....
I too turned it off. Couldn't watch that drivel. Is the wussification of the American male really that far advanced? If so...then God help us
Who recreates that. Emotion of the moment would be unbelievable. But to intentionally script that is sick
I saw that last night and had to hit mute. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing.
I wonder if he wet his pants too? Actually on second thought.....I really don't!
That looked like a Saturday Nite Live skit! : (
He’s long arming that buck several times, too!
Did he call that buck Walter Peyton?
Well that’s different then, Walter Payton is a superhero.
I’ve listened to this guy on a couple of podcasts and he is a big time douche bag. His regular speaking voice is just as annoying.
He’s also the inventor of “the most revolutionary whitetail hunting product ever” the tree thrasher
I hope he's equipped to handle the onslaught of orders bound to happen thanks to Midwest's link
lol....gettem before they're sold out!
My cargo pockets are already full so I’m out.
That is so sorry. You would think a guy was that stupid to do it would be too stupid to even post it for all to see.
More like "the tree crapper" lol this guy beats TBM by a country mile!
Midwest , I don't think he has popped his cherry yet !!!
I cannot believe this is where we are at with hunting TV. I cannot believe that people produce this stuff and that sponsors put their name on it.
I get being choked up a bit from time to time about things that you are passionate about, but to flat out ball like a 3 year old little kid is pathetic. Even more pathetic is that they actually aired this on a TV show and that this guy has some sort of following in the hunting community.
What in the............seriously dude. All that "crying", yet I see not one tear. Freaking joke.
I laughed hard enough to shed a tear when I saw the tree thrasher.
It reminded me of when Ron Burgundy lost his dog and was crying in the phone booth uncontrollably.
DEC - that would be BAWL...
Honestly, I took him for a PETA type who had stumbled across a roadkill.
The day I get more emotional over a big rack than a small one or a doe/cow is the day I quit.
Agree Destroyer, I think that dude was in a glass cage of emotion
"The day I get more emotional over a big rack than a small one or a doe/cow is the day I quit."
Alot of truth right there. IMO....QDM, celebs, hunting shows, magazines, etc contribute to that.
I love how you guys trash him without knowing any of the back story. If it was a big bull elk a lot of you would be fine with it.
GF ... if my fast typing resulted in the wrong term (which it admittedly did) is the worst thing in this thread then people have serious issues.
RutnStrut ... I'd call him a puzzy if he cried even half that much on an elk or any other animal. But I am just that big of a prick. :)
Wrong RutnStrut!! I’d demand his man card on a huge elk too!
I will admit, however, if I EVER draw OIL sheep or moose tag, well........all bets are off.
We should cut him some slack men... he just killed Walter Payton for God's sake.
