Shot a deer broad side. Infront of back leg, just below spine. I seen blood spraying out after shot. Found three different areas with blood spray, then the blood trail turned into drops. Spent three hours following blood trail with no luck... meat shot or artery shot?

Blood spraying usually indicates artery or blood vessel hit, in my experience. Probably began to clot, and with a high hit, deer's gonna fill up with blood. Look for kicked up leaves, broken twigs, path of least resistance. Good luck, and I hope you find him.

Sounds like an over the spine muscle hit by the blood trail description. If you hit the artery you would have found him. You should search for him in case it was just guts he will be dead somewhere.
