How’d you like to see this coming up the tree you are in?

Well, I’ll be crossing Texas off my list of possible states to hunt in the future! ;-)

I was bowhunting hogs and javelinas in STexas years ago and killed a rattler that was 6' long with my handy dandy S&W .22 Mag snubbie that I carried in my pocket. Damn, he was big ! I spent most of the rest of the weekend looking at the ground. My son and his buddy killed two more almost that big.

Well it's TEXAS, what did you expect? Everything there either stings, stinks, bites or scratches! ;-)

Nope, I would be walking on air.

I've had a coral snake on a limb above my tripod at Camp Bullis years ago. It had my full attention for about 20 minutes.

Later that season, my wife found a shed skin from a king snake in across the seat of a ladder stand.

That's what makes hunting in TX fun.
