What are some of the better fletching tools out there? Looking for something to do 3&4 vanes. I’ve been using nap quickfletch but they seem to come apart with pass throughs. Also they don’t make 4 vanes that I’ve found. Thanks

I still use an old Jo-Jan 6 fletch. I don't know if they even make them anymore. Are you putting a dab of glue over the leading edge of the vane? This covers the front edge so that it can't "catch" on the way through anything. I also put a dab on the back of the vane.

Bitzenburger.

Used a Jo Jan for 40 years and it got the job done and I still prefer it for youth arrows and flu-flu's. Went to a bitzenberger about 10 years ago and love it.

Been using a Bitz since 1999. See no need to change.

Bought a BPE Pro Series last Season, pretty happy with it.

I shoot 4 fletch, it easily adapts to any angles and configurations.

Bitzenberger since 1978. Works great on 4” vanes and feathers, that’s all I shoot.

Bitz is the only one I've used, but it works just fine.

Thanks for the info fellas. Looks like cabelas has the blitzenberger for 89$.

The Last Chance Fletcher is best you can buy. A Bitz with Zenith nock adapter will work fine.

Have a very old Hoyt tri-heli fletch, has done thousands of vanes and feathers. Don't think you can find one.

I have a blitenburger, Jo Jan and Arizona ez fletch. I end up using the Arizona 90% of the time. Of course that is 3 fletch only.

Decut Nexu Fletcher...https://youtu.be/I1lsYLEOmr0

Gave my old Bitzenberger away..IMO the Bitz clamps and adjustment are a bit inferior giving less than perfect results. For example the Decut has a stronger magnet and the clamp has tighter tolerances and less interference with the receiver when you position the clamp.

Next best was BearPaw; similar to the Bitzenberger but a bit higher quality.

I also liked the very simple Goat Tuff and AAE fletchers for vanes although they will do smaller feathers. Still use these, but overall, the Decut Nexus is my top choice as I like to use larger feathers. Can order from Lancaster or Amazon (just get the metal version) for around $60.

Only negatives, the Decut, Goat Tuff and AAE don't don't have helical clamps, but on the Decut, you can get a good offset, which I now prefer over a true helical.

Last Chance looks great, too but perhaps a bit complex...

Last Chance not complex at all. Videos available to learn before buying. Pricey but handles every thing needed for exact fletching, imo.

Been using the Blitz for years. Have never used anything else, and also never felt the need. Always been happy with it.

Bitzenberger here. I’ve used AAE and Bohning in the past but love the Bitz.

Used a bitzenberger and it works really well but not so much for Blazer vanes. I picked up an Arizona Mini EZ Fletch and it does an awesome job of putting a helical on my blazer vanes.

I bought my first Bitz at Anderson Archery in Grand Ledge, MI about 1977 or 78 and it is still going strong. Some talk about the Zenith upgrade, but I have never had an issue fletching with helical or straight clamps. Apparently Firenock and a couple other companies have come out with more complicated and expensive versions, but I can see no reason to change after 40 years of good results.

I happily gave my Bitz away...over rated.
