The adventure begins
Wheels up at 11:10 at O'Hare . Wheels down in Atlanta 1:30 2 hour layover than on to Paris.
Thanks watched my case get on the plane no hassles. Thought everything was going too well. Just got a fraud report on 3 of my credit cards. Oh well still going hunting
Sounds like Africa up next ? Or where ? No matter, who needs credit cards when you're going hunting ? :-) Good luck and tell us how it went !
Africa is the destination.
if you used your credit cards in a different state or for unusual purchases this can happen. Just call the number and find out what's going on. they can usually clear it up pretty fast.
Good Luck and have fun! Scar
Yeah I did just that. Cards are back at the office locked up. Seems someone is having a great time running them up. No worries though I'm going hunting :)
Well this morning we walked across the compound and I'm set with a borrowed bow hunt tonight
Gonna assume your bow didn't take the trip? That's a bummer! Hopefully it gets there soon! Good luck... Shoot straight!
Yup borrowed bow. One Springbok in the salt . Keeping a good attitude and a big helping hand from my PH and the landowners is making this happen. Could have been a disaster. Maybe Ken can post a picture of the animal for me.
Hope you are having a great time my friend! Enjoy! Can't wait to see some more pictures!
Dave’s adventure continues with a nice Sable in the salt...
So what happened with your bow? Just didn't show up? Or broken? Or what? Glad to see you are persevering!
Air France failed to load his luggage on the Paris transfer. One bag arrived yesterday. One more due in.
Looks like he his adapting just fine. Nice pics.
A great trip so far Dave, I know it has taken awhile for you to get back to Africa. Hope for more trophies to come and watch out for the elephant turds :). Tell Ken I said Hi, Dale
Some great animals already in the salt, keep it up!
Hate to hear about your luggage delima Nice animals there. Keep it up !!
Dave continues with a nice zebra....Cape Town wine tour yesterday and a deep sea adventure (25 miles out) scheduled for Monday... the Western Cape is a beautiful area for combining a hunting & touring adventure AND, given the climate, you can hunt here during the “off season” from the typical May - September season in the northern parts of SA.
Hey Dave! Looks like you're havin fun!
Definitely some nice animals. Congrats!
Ken...... is the Cape area still in drought conditions?
There’s been enough rain to stave off the “disaster” status that seemed imminent. It’s drizzling rain there now.
Hope the wine tour went well...we did that a couple years ago and had a blast! Yea...what Dale said...no eating the elephant crap this time! Hahaha...
Dave just can’t help himself. He bagged two nice Cape Kudu today. Cape Kudu are smaller versions of their Greater Southern Kudu cousins...but wait...didn’t he mention his credit cards had been compromised??? No wonder he’s shooting everything :^)
Congrats Dave! Awesome trophies!
Thanks guys. The only thing missing is Ken in his tight short PH shorts lol We are having the time of our lives. Peyton we did a brewery tour first got me time to sober up for the wine tour since I don't drink wine
Post Script Ken baby you know I'm good for it )evil snicker incerted here ) Ya haven't steered me wrong yet.
I gave up the shorts. Guys like you starting following me a bit too closely :^)
BTW Brenda is looking for a hair dryer and waiting for the grub to be popped out of her lip ;)
Hey just wanted to add there's no long arming here. These guys'll get you right on top of them for pictures. I know I know at 6 foot 6 these animals make me look smaller . Ken I still have the pictures on the website :^)
what an looking amazing beast! (them kudu ain't bad neither)
Fuzzy, Having fun nawww a freaking blast Brother! The Amazing Beast lol
Awesome man! Looks like the borrowed bow has good mojo!
It sure did got to admit nice to get mine back in me hands again. Today we shop Brenda keeps bringing up something about me owing big time. Whatever the hell that means lol.
We'll worth any debt owed I'd say.
Sounds like you are having a blast!
Congratulations on the adventure and the great critters!
Keep 'em coming Dave! Glad you're having a great time.
Dining at he ocean. Our Western Cape venue is just 6 miles from the beach. Dave & Brenda enjoying some fresh seafood...
Looks like I may need to pay old Ken a visit...
Looks like Dave is really enjoying his trip! Congrats on some great animals.
Yea, you do Casey. We’re not anchored in the same area, same lodge, same hides, same old same old. We have a variety of venues situated in the best hunting areas. A different quality experience every hunt. Same team of PHs, cooks, etc. but variety of options with either myself or my partner on every hunt with you.
My wife and I will be with Ken in the Limpopo in April. Come join us Casey.
Ya'll ain't gonna believe the story on this "bull" black wildebeest we have been playing tag with for 4 days suffice to say its been a transgender type of day lmao
Black Wildebeest in the salt.
Damn I'm making Fritz look good ;^)
and...an old, heavy horned Gemsbok.
Boys and girls this is the last animal. fishing tomorrow than the plane flight nightmare lol. I'll do a recap and answer any questions when back in the states. That gemsbok was an amazing all day spot and stalk. BTW sometimes they flush like pheasants lol had to be here
Dave that is one heck of a Gemsbok!
It was a long, hard fought battle but eventually Dave was able to boat this beast...
A wonderful day for fishing none the less.
That is a great Gemsbok. Looks like Ken has this place dialed in. Congrats to all!
I knocked a bottle of Castle fighting that battle. The Irish in me is in mourning :(
