Michael, don't you live in Tulsa area? If so, and if you still have the lower central teeth, get ahold of me and I'll send them in to get a firm age and not a guess. I've got 3 sets that I'm sending in. More we have the lower the cost.

I sent a big old doe's tooth in once and it came back at 9 years old. That jaw looks old, but you never know. Could be sandy soil and what not.

I’d send in a tooth. It could be very old. Last year my deer aged at 6.5 based on wear but was actually 10.5 years old.

Rick’s suggestion will give you the best results. Send it to a lab!
Have seen the results of deer biologists estimates versus a lab. Amazing how far off the professionals were, especially on the older animals.

More than 30 years ago my brother in law shot a nice big healthy doe, the DNR folks on site running the hunt asked if they could look at the jawbone. Wear was a little worse than this pic, (molars were flat with the jawbone). They were thinking 8-10 yrs old a great, great, great, grandma, in super health going into winter-likely her last.
