Always happens this way when no Longbow in hand. Oh well, it was fun to see how close before he blew out. Quick guess would be 14-15 yards.

I think it's all in how you act, if you act like a predator, they will respond in that manner. If you act like a guy out walking, they aren't as skittish/ afraid. I have shared this on here before, but I have a friend that hunts in an area that has a lot of tourists, In nice weather, he routinely wears Bermuda shorts and a Hawaiian shirt.... usually reds, blues... He is very successful! I always laugh when I see pictures of him with an animal and what he has on. They aren't afraid of him I guess.
