What is the best and most economical way to get moose meat home? And what about the rack. We live in Arizona and we're trying to weigh our options for a long drive or air flight to Prince George., BC. Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

As you are investigating options, consider whether or not you're willing to split the skull cap. A split skull cap makes the rack significantly easier and cheaper to ship, but makes it ineligible to be entered into the record books, should you choose to do so and if the animal qualifies.

As a baseline, I'd be happy to drive the meat and rack (without split skull cap) to you in Arizona in exchange for joining you on the hunt (on your dime) and five grand. There will likely be cheaper options out there.

don't count your moose before they are shot..........particularly with a bow!

A moose is a load that’s for sure. Filled two bigger coolers in the back, plus a smaller one on the front seat and still had to wrap 4 frozen 2-1/2 gallon zip lock bags in wool army blanket and sleeping bag. All made the 2 day trip from Montana still froze solid.
