Northern VA, cool crisp 27° out, zero wind. Feels good to be back out after the holidays. There are 3 shooters on this farm, and way too many does. So we will see what happens.

Seen 9 does and 2 spikes. Everything just out of range

Saw total of 15 deer this morning. I’ve been back on stand since 1:45. Warm front is starting to blow in, wind is out of the SSE @ 10mph

Around 2:45 I catch movement to my right, out comes 2 doe fawns n a mature doe, they are acting funny, then I hear something out in front of me up this ridge and there stands one of the shooters. I get the glasses on him and he goes out of sight. Then I hear grunting from behind me where the 3 does are n there is a 3 pt pushing a fawn around. Eventually he gives up n goes on his way, then I see more deer coming, and then I hear what sounds like a million people coming down this road I’m off of about 125 yards, it’s a huge family out for a post holiday stroll!!! The does start spooking and out pops the shooter!!! Does take off running, he follows them, all went the opposite way. He was a nice 8. Then my wife texts me that she’s feeling achy and she hopes she’s not getting the flu. Womp. 45 min left until dark
