If the bull was engaged with a cow would you let him finish or shoot him? If I was a bull I’d hope someone would have the decency to let me finish the job!!

Your dead... Sorry! Am I unethical? No I am a killer of tasty animals! MAYBE, you could cum and go at the same time, that's how I wanna go out!

Sorry Ucsdryder, He's getting an arrow as soon as the shot is there. They are tough, I bet he finishes anyways!

Hahahaha. My buddy and I always say if we were elk we’d be dead the first day! Elk in heat scents, cow estrus calls, cow decoys. We wouldn’t stand a chance!

Never! Let him breed than if the shot good go for it. That my choice

Hmmmm....goelk made me think....what if its early in the rut and its a BIG bull...the kind you want to spread his genes around. Assuming I'm in a good spot and wind is right, and I mean everything is perfect, MAYBE I let him finish so he can pass those genes on! Fun problem to have either way.

Depends on how good lookin the cow is.

I would wait until the animals separated....no different than a cow standing right next to or behind a bull.

03-Jan-19
Yup. There's a possibility of a low shoulder shot hitting her.

I’m with Ike & Franklin on this one.

Yes, wait, because once he gets busy, it’ll be a moving target and a major penalty if you miss low. Or get the shot in while he still has all 4 on the ground. They’re pretty quick about it.

03-Jan-19
Not to mention it takes like 3 seconds for these animals to mate so they're probably gonna be done by the time you draw anyways.

03-Jan-19
It’s so dang quick... He’ll be done before the arrow gets there

From a Danish man I know, the accent always kills me with his jokes..... "sometimes it's just a few seconds....... sometimes it's really quick...."

To avoid any ethical challenges I guess we should make sure the animals know we are there and then ask them if we can kill them

Had my boy out for his first deer hunt this fall. We were watching a buck and doe chasing in a field and my boy made ready to shoot the buck with the rifle. About the time he got him in the scope he mounted the doe. The boy and I were laughing so hard that we had to wait for him to finish, a few seconds later the boy missed the buck. He claims he did it on purpose because it was "man code" but I'm not buying it! Ha!

How would you know if they're "engaged"? Maybe he was making unwanted advances and you'd be doing her a favor to shoot him. He could be the Harvey Weinstein of elk, demanding sex before he lets her drink from the waterhole. Let's not judge until we know ALL the facts. Sexual assault is sexual assault, whether its a bug, rat, or elk. #METOO

Depends on his genetics...

I’d shoot the first chance I had.

I would shield my eyes to give them privacy until they were done....ugh, no.

I've shot boar hogs mounting sows....I figure if thats the way I would want to go...its the least I can do for that boar sending him out on a high note. /grin

He’d Get a pass, because I’d be shielding my eyes. I find elk porn indecent and offensive.
