Alright, the Bo knows archery thread got my interested. I had no idea all those celebs mentioned in that thread were bowhunters. Who are some other celebs that bowhunt or are involved in archery?

Don't know if he's considered a celeb anymore but former Minnesota Twin Dan "The Dazzle Man" Gladden and current radio announcer for the twins talks about bow hunting and sitting in his treestand all the time during broadcasts.

Paul Ryan for sure is a bow hunter. I was a bass pro and had my sunglasses on and was at a sale rack. I looked up and thought I recognized him , took my shades off and sure enough it was him. I introduced myself and asked why he wasn't spending his money in Wisconsin rather than Illinois, he laughed. We BS'd for about 5 mins or so about bowhunting and he could not of been nicer. He was also written up in I believe time where they showed him with his Matthews bow.

Not common knowledge but Barry Bonds has bowhunted more than most realize. I once worked with one of his family members and he showed me lots of kill pictures.

It's funny you should mention Dickey Betts, Meatgrinder Scooter Trash is here hunting with us, and this morning he showed us a custom made Byron Ferguson bow that was built for Dickey. It has a signed guitar pick inflated in it. I'll have to see if I can get him to post a pic of it to this thread. I had no idea Dickey was a bowhunter, let alone a traditionalist.

I heard about Dickey Betts being a bowhunter from a fellow I worked with back in the mid-90's named Bill Johnson. Bill told me he used to tour with the Allman Brothers Band as a guitarist. I had no reason not to believe him. He told me that Dickey Betts would take his bow on tour, and once while the band was in a hotel passing time between shows, Dickey shot an arrow down the hallway into a door leading to a stairwell. He said the arrow hit the door just a second or so before a security guard opened the door from the other side. So yes, I think Dickey Betts might have some stories to tell.
