I had herd that a bear covered in burrs there is something wrong with them I didn’t think much of it till one of the guys killed one, and it stunk not sure if that is the case with all of them.

Up at our bear camp after the 2011 flood, those burr patches were everywhere and that's exactly what the bears from that one bait site where the thickest burr patches looked like. I eventually quit hunting that spot.

Agree with Russell. Definitely looks like burdock to me. PIA, but they will comb out. Our hayburners used to get them all over in their manes and tails. Glad they were my sisters’ horses.
