Saw this question on a rifle/gun page. Got me to thinking, how many elk do people typically with the same bow? Leaving it to elk only no other game... So I will start:
I have a Mathews Switchback and have taken 10 bulls with it.
What about you?
I'm on 12. Hopefully 13 &14 this year. Used Conquest 2 still going strong.
I’m 1 for 1. I love my current bow so it might kill a few more!
I get a new bow every 5 years
2000-2007 The bow (PSE Stingray) killed 2 bulls and 5 cows
2008-2012 The bow (Mathews Drenalin) killed 1 bull and 4 cows
2013-2017 The bow (Elite Answer) killed 8. 3 bulls and 5 cows
This bow (Bowtech REALM) only has the 2018 season under it and it has killed 1 bull
One bull and one limb, dang it.
I've killed 4 bulls with my Bowtech Invasion set at 52 lbs - all pass throughs except when I get offside scapula.
3yrs, 3 elk with my BowTech BTX-28.
I get a new bow every year, both a Prime and a stickbow. The stickbow I used last year accounted for one bull, two mule deer. But limbs have already been replaced on it for my Arizona hunt.
3 bulls with my current Mathews Halon.
9 bulls and a cow with my previous Mathews MQ1
2 with my Z2. 1 bull 1 cow
0 elk with my 4 yr old bow
0 elk all time
At least I’m consistent I guess
Bowtech BTX31. 2 bulls in last three years.
Bow Teck sentinel 9 bulls
I go back and forth with my Wheels Diamond bow and my Old School Recurve.
Bull or cow with either most every year in one state or another to combine the 'harvest score'.
Good luck, Robb
2 with my current bow, but it's about to get replaced.
Tough to see in there against that rub

Little better view on the rocks

8 with my homemade longbow, but I do switch out with an occasional different laminated bow or self bow on occasion.
Three with my Hoyt Carbon Spyder
Tavis, heck of an elk rub! Lucky your stick wasn’t there. Kurt
Bowtech Sentinal 6 bulls.
0... New bow as of November 2018. This will be it’s first year, Bowtech Realm. Fingers crossed there will be blood.
Prior to that had a Bear Mauler since 2012. Was a good bow. Took 4 elk with it.
Caribow Taiga 2 cows one bull.
2,,,, it's a 2014 strothers rush XT 68-29. I think its got about a year or two left in it. Or should I say two more elk, Well if I'm lucky.
Treeline, Awesome!
ElkNut/Paul
4 with 65# Bear Takedown recurve.....then I moved out of Elk country. :(
2 bulls, 1 cow, with a JK Chastain Wapiti Recurve Treeline, i can see his antlers, did he expired in that mess?
LOL, no I just leaned my bow up against that rub tree to show how big it was! My Osage bow kind of blended in with the kindling! That bull definitely tore the heck out of that tree!
Hey I just realized something. My bow takes after me. Equal opportunity killer. Cows, bulls, deer. Damn I love my D350!
1 bull so far with my Mathews Halon.
4 bulls with my current bow...making a switch this year, at least I think I am.
5 bulls with my Hoyt carbon element.
3 bucks whitetail bucks with Bowtech Prodigy, Zero elk last 2 years
I missed one with my 3 YO evo 7. Does that count?
Killed them with 9 different bows, I think. Only 4 elk and a red stag with the current 53# Kelley recurve. This year will probably be with bow #10.
2 Bulls with current bow.
Shoulda been 3 last September :^/
Jeff, so exactly what are ya sayin’? ;-)
14 with this Matthews Switchback.
Only one with my new RealmX, she also got me a nice bull moose, so two kills for the X
Zero, have not bowhunted elk in 20 or so years. But I have a hunt planned in Colo in early Sept this fall.
