Big buck mounted
Whitetail Deer

I just finished the mount on my 2018 Kansas Buck. I converted a wall pedestal form from Joe Coombs to a floor pedestal. I'm very pleased with how it turned out.
A wider angled shot. I'm not a wood worker so I've been using a production pedestal available at Van Dykes
Looks great. Nice buck. Congratulations.
Spectacular buck, Jim! Looks awesome!
Incredible buck. Congrats!
Holy Moly! Beautiful buck!
Fantastic tribute to an extraordinary animal. Congratulations, and well done.
Jim,
I just gotta ask, "what does that bad boy score". That buck is spectacular!
Awesome buck and great mount! What a beaut!
That is one impressive Whitetail.
Nice job
Looks great Jim, congrats again
The second pic really shows just how big that buck really is! Congratulations again!
Ghost, The official score is 191 3/8" It was 199 3/8 gross.
Gorgeous! Look forward to the age.
Great taxidermy work Jim.
Beautiful job on an incredible deer, Jim! Is it going to be at P&Y in Omaha?
awesome display and awesome buck! Yeah I can definitely see that rack breaking 190 as a mainframe 10 - holy cow!
I think it will be in Omaha.
Since I wasn't able to enter it before December 31, it is in the next recording period. It wasn't invited to panel this year because it's not part of that recording period.
We are hoping to have the Brewster Buck there also even though it didn't make the deadline.
One in 10 million animal congrats on a beautiful buck !
Just an awesome buck, mount, and story...congrats again Jim! Hope we get to see him in Hutch!
Jim, he is so big his rack doesn’t look real!!!! Awesome mount.
Congrats again on a buck of a lifetime.

That’s awesome. Beautiful deer
Beyond impressive on all accounts.
Awesome job. Looking forward to seeing the mount in person in a few weeks.
Wow congrats on a dandy! The mount looks great! Seems like the pedestal looks a little small for that huge buck? Either way congrats again
Buck of a lifetime for sure. Congratulations.
Thanks Grunt, The pedestal is fine. It has a 14" square base which is plenty for a whitetail sized mount. I've used the same pedestal for deer, zebra, dall sheep and sable. They are solid oak and really heavy on the bottom. I have a real cheap pine pedestal made for a planter or vase or something like that. It has a 11 1/2" base, and it works also. I don't think I would rely on it all the time, but it worked while I was altering the form and even used it during the drying process. I'm going to add a 14" square plate to the bottom of it and use it as my travelling pedestal. I don't mind if it gets beat up a little.
Unlike many of you, I don't want to get too elaborate with my pedestal. I want the mount to be the focus, not the artwork under it. Some of you have some real works of art under your trophy and that's great. Just not for me.
This is what I get to look at every day. Enough memories for a lifetime.
Looks so big it’s fictional! What an unreal deer. Congrats on both those bucks and the beautiful mount
Looks great. Are you bringing him to Omaha?
Hey Jim, hope to see you and your deer at the CTAS next weekend in Denver and the CBA banquet in Grand Junction in March. my best, Paul
Beautiful deer, great mount. It never ceases to amaze me, they all start out as a cat sized fawn, and some of them grow up to look like this...incredible.
Absolutely amazing. Congrats again.
Very nice buck and a beautiful mount Jim! Congrats!
Wow! Nice job, beautiful buck!
Incredible buck and a beautiful mount Jim!
I'll display the buck at CTAS, Colorado Bowhunters and Kansas Bowhunters.
It will probably be at P&Y in Omaha as well. It will not be part of the recording period trophy display since it didn't make it into the last recording period but there will be some other mounts displayed there.
My Utah Bison did get invited to panel and will be at Omaha as well. It will be part of the recording period trophy display. That will be a first for me and I'm really excited to finally have something get invited to panel.
Congratulations Jim on your outstanding 2018 success! Great looking mounts.
Jim, Congrats on an incredible buck..and a great mount!
