2019 NWTF - Nashville next week

Anyone going to the NWTF Convention in Nashville? The convention will be the weekend of Feb 15-17 at the Opryland Convention Center. I will be attending along with my daughter and oldest grandson. I have quite a few turkey calls entered in the call making competition (9 decorative entries & 2 hunting calls) and look forward to seeing old friends and making some new ones. I'll post up some photos of my calls throughout the week.

Beautiful works of art, Andy! Do you have a preference for any particular type of wood/medium for your calls? Any particular species that creates better quality sound, in your experience?

Hey t-roy,
I love box calls. I use a lot of exotic woods in my calls, but softer domestic woods make the better sounding box calls; woods like red cedar & poplar, which I use a lot for box calls and the box call soundboards on sawn & glued calls. The paddle on box calls for the most part tend to be harder, straight grained woods.
